ConcordiaHouse-roasting Concordia cafe on 33rd & Killingsworth, where owner Andrew pours single-origin espresso and house-made syrups built around the Madagascar vanilla bean. The room stays quiet and bright — rotating local art on the walls, a free little library by the door, housemade pastries and avocado toast at the counter.

Get the iced Madagascar vanilla latte — it runs on their house-made vanilla-bean syrup over house-roasted espresso, and it's the drink regulars come back for; pair it with the avocado toast (add the fried egg).
