Bella Luna Coffee

Downtown

A weekend coffee cart run out of a converted 1962 bread truck, parked on the corner of SW Naito and Ankeny in the Saturday Market footprint by the waterfront. Sarah, who poured organic coffee for Portland festivals for about a decade before the truck, runs an organic espresso-and-drip program with a long list of lattes, chai, cold brew, hot cocoa and Italian sodas. It's a walk-up window for the Saturday Market crowd, not a room to sit in.

The order

The cardamom oat latte — it's the drink regulars come back for. If it's warm out, get the cold brew with oat milk and cardamom syrup instead. Black-coffee people are well served by the drip, and there's hot cocoa for the kids.

Know before you go

  • Weekends only: Sat 8am-5pm, Sun 9am-4:30pm. Closed Monday through Friday.
  • It's a mobile cart, so it isn't always there - it decamps for festivals and markets (Pickathon, moon markets). Don't count on it; check Instagram @bellalunacoffee first.
  • Walk-up window, no seating of its own. Take it to Waterfront Park and the riverfront benches.
  • Open-air and right on the river - easy with strollers and dogs, and there's cocoa for little ones.
  • Downtown with no dedicated lot; use a nearby paid garage (SW 2nd & Oak, SW 2nd & Harvey Milk).
