Two of Us

St. Johns

A breakfast-sandwich cart tucked inside the St. Johns Food & Beer Porch, run by a husband-and-wife team out of a little storybook-cottage truck with a chalkboard menu. This is not a coffee stop in any real sense — it's a place to eat a big, hearty sandwich on housemade sourdough while they hand you a free cup of drip to sip during the wait. Come hungry, in the morning.

The order

The Bex — fried egg, Tillamook cheddar, bacon, a hash brown patty, fresh tomato and housemade ranch on a sourdough everything bun ($15), the one everyone photographs. If you want it simpler, the St. Johns (fried egg, cheddar, tomato, house dijonaise; $10) is the regulars' pick, and there's a solid vegan build (the Vegan Deluxe). The coffee is free drip with your order — don't come for it; come for the sandwich. For an actual espresso drink, grab one elsewhere in the pod.

Know before you go

  • Morning cart: open roughly 9am-2pm and closed Tuesdays — the 12-8 hours floating around online are the beer pod's, not Two of Us's, so don't show up at dinner expecting a sandwich.
  • You order at the cart window (or online via Square) and eat at the pod's shared seating — covered outdoor tables with winter heaters, plus an indoor lounge with a fire and a cider/beer bar.
  • Card-first and cashless-friendly: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App and all major cards through Square.
  • Strong vegan and vegetarian options, and the pod overall is dog-friendly and good with kids.
  • The daily special is posted to the cart's own Instagram, @twoofuspdx — check before you go. Parking is street-only.
