Powellhurst-GilbertA small bee-themed coffee cart on the corner lot at SE Powell and 174th, out in the Centennial/Powellhurst-Gilbert stretch of outer SE near I-205 and Powell Butte. It's a walk-up/drive-up window, not a place to sit and linger: you order at the cart and go. Owner-run by Lisa, who reviewers say learns regulars by name, and it leans hard into the bee theme, even selling its own jarred PNW honey and bee pollen alongside the drinks.
The order
A mocha or a caramel oat-milk latte off the regular espresso menu is the safe, well-reviewed move. If you came for the gimmick, the energy-drink "lattes" built on Red Bull or Rockstar (20-32 oz) are the actual specialty here. Or just tell Lisa what you're after and let her build something off-menu.
Know before you go
- It's a cart with a window, not a cafe with seating. Grab and go, or sit in your car.
- Opens early for commuters and closes by mid-afternoon on weekends (around 3-4pm); weekday hours run longer. Verify before a special trip, the cart's own page and the aggregators don't agree.
- Card-first: takes credit cards and is on DoorDash and the joe.coffee app.
- Easy private-lot parking right at the cart, with a drive-in entrance on each side. A taqueria shares the lot.
- Dog-friendly. There's a punch-card loyalty program, and answering the daily trivia question right earns extra punches toward a free drink.
