MontavillaTrung Nguyen's top-tier Coffee World format landed on SE Powell in a converted billiard hall — a showroom-scale room where the egg coffee arrives cocoa-dusted in a bowl of hot water and the phin, ibrik, and moka-pot brews get the full ceremony. Egg coffee, pandan, banana coffee, plus pastries and a wall of Trung Nguyen product. Big, theatrical, and best enjoyed sitting down rather than to-go.
The order
The cocoa-dusted egg coffee — get it hot, served in its little bowl of hot water, and taste the foam before you stir; add a pandan drink or the banana coffee if you're settling in.
